Weber Spirit S-315 Gas Grill: A Comprehensive Review

Weber Spirit S-315 Liquid Propane Gas Grill, Stainless Steel
  • The three-burner Spirit S-315 gas grill is ideal for entertaining a crowd. Use the convenient side tables for placing serving trays, while grilling tools hang from the tool hooks. Designed with a sleek stainless-steel finish and ample cooking area. The porcelain-enamel cast-iron cooking grates are durable, easy to clean, and retain heat for the perfect sear. It’s the perfect answer to any meal.
  • SUPERIOR HEAT RETENTION: Porcelain-Enameled Cast Iron for superior heat retention and distribution while preventing sticking that creates for an easy clean up.

For those on a tighter budget, Weber offers the Spirit range of gas barbecues. A price tag of USD 600 for a Weber Spirit S-315 Gas Grill isn’t exactly pocket-friendly. However, there is a cost associated with carrying the Weber brand. The reality is that there are just three burners and no further features on this barbecue.

It’s a stripped-down version of the standard model. The base model comes with three burners a total of 32,000 BTUs of cooking power and 424 square inches of space. This is not a very high sum. Even though the cooking grates have a porcelain coating and are substantial enough to sear a steak, this grill is not very powerful.

This grill, on the other hand, is rather nice. It’s ideal for tight quarters due to its compact size and foldable side tables, which complement the grill’s three burners. Indirect grilling is a strong suit, and the grill excels at most other grilling chores as well. The stainless steel construction isn’t exactly eye-catching, but it’s not hideous either. In addition to providing a convenient way to monitor your propane supply, this compartment also serves as a discrete location for stowing the tank out of sight.

The actual problem is that it doesn’t have the features that other Weber grills have. In recent years, Weber has introduced several improvements to its gas barbecues; however, such updates were not made to this particular model. When upgrading to a Spirit II or Genesis II, you’ll have access to superior burners, ignition, and warranties. All parts and components on such models are covered for 10 years. The components of this grill are guaranteed for ten to two years under the terms of the warranty. Also new for 2021 is Weber’s “smart” barbecue model, which incorporates WiFi and a temperature monitoring system right into the grill.

Finally, despite its gleaming appearance, the stainless steel used in the construction of this grill is of subpar grade. This grill requires more maintenance to appear beautiful than a standard black grill.

FAQs: weber-spirit-s-315-gas-grill-review-stainless-steel

Q.  Do Weber stainless steel grills rust?

The first thing you need to know about Weber grills is that not only can they rust when kept in damp conditions for long periods. Weber Grills can also rust when the heat of the grill is so high that moisture and iron can react more quickly to start the oxidation process that’ll eventually form rust.

Q.  Are Weber Spirit grills any good?

The Weber Spirit II E-310 grill boasts outstanding ignition and heats up very fast. The grill also features porcelain-enameled, cast-iron cooking grates, which are easy to maintain and durable. It is also simple to clean with a smart grease management system, where all the remnants go into a removable tray

Q.  How long do Weber stainless steel grates last?

Weber stainless steel cooking grates and Flavorizer bars are guaranteed to last for 5 years with no rust-through or burn-through. Plastic parts are guaranteed to last for 5 or more years (but not guaranteed against fading or discoloring)

Q.  What is the difference between Weber Spirit E and S?

The E models feature porcelain-enameled grates, while the S models feature a stainless steel design for better heat retention. The exclusive SE models have a handle light as well as 9 mm thick cooking grates.

Summary

The Weber Spirit Gas Grill is designed to be less expensive than the Weber Genesis range. The Spirit S-315’s body is mostly made of cast aluminum and enameled steel, but it also has several stainless steel components. Simple gas grill, that’s what this is. It’s just a stove with three burners. This grill, naturally, has the Weber brand and comes with Weber’s excellent customer service.

In the end, it’s just a basic, little gas barbecue. It is a great option if you require anything compact. The foldable end tables allow for compact storage in a tight outdoor space. In all honesty, hardly much heat is produced. The volume is quite low, if not undetectable. Although Weber’s design optimizes the use of this heat, most other grills achieve greater temperatures during cooking and need less time to heat up. I am not advocating the purchase of this particular barbecue. If you want my advice on how to improve things, however, go down a little.
